The Memorial of St. Nicholas is this Saturday, December 6. Are you ready?

I continued the series last year on my blog Living the Gospel Through the Example of St. Nicholas.
Mary Ellen will be hosting the From Thy Bounty Fair at Catholic Cuisine on December 4, so be sure to visit to get tasty ideas for the feast.
Mary Ellen also wrote a unit study on St. Nicholas for the current issue (October) of the Mater et Magistra Magazine. It's really fabulous. I highly recommend subscribing to the magazine for yourself, and perhaps giving gift subscriptions for Christmas. I read each issue from cover to cover and several times over.
If you haven't visited, put aside a chunk of time to spend browsing through St. Nicholas Center. Anything and everything to do with St. Nicholas is there. If you're not ready to celebrate, short on money, short on time, entertaining a large group, hosting a St. Nick party, need some songs and readings...you'll find what you need there for recipes, activities, crafts, prayers, reading, coloring pages, music, and online store and outside links. Every year more information is added, so the site never gets stale, either. Enjoy!
Although St. Nicholas is truly popular in secular and religious circles, the devotion is personal and individual. I love how each family has their own special traditions! I'd love to hear about your love of St. Nicholas and your family traditions -- leave a comment with a description or a link to a blog post.
