I just gathered my books for the Tomie de Paola unit, and was amazed at the quantity and depth of his books. I had a few of them, and am delighted to add, "Mary the Mother of Jesus", and "The Night of Las Posadas" to my collection. My nine year old Isabella is enchanted by his storytelling and illustrations, and is producing great narratives. My 13 year old Gaby loves the stories' surprising endings, they give her a lot to think about, and I just caught my 4 year old enthralled by the illustrations in "The Clown of God". This unit is truly a multi-aged treat!

Christmas Novena

  • Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary, at midnight, in Bethlehem, in piercing cold. In that hour, vouchsafe, O my God! to hear my prayer and grant my desires, through the merits of Our Saviour Jesus Christ, and of His Blessed Mother. Amen
