While driving to the cemetery this morning to visit Ryan's grave and pray, the car radio suddenly began to play one of his favorite songs, Soul Man (Sam & Dave, Atlantic Records 1967).
"Hey!" said Katie, "he's our very own soul man now!"
Yes, he is.
Please join us in a Novena for the Holy Souls in Purgatory.
Have a blessed day.

Thinking of you and praying.

Thank you so much for posting the novena link. I was hoping to find something like that to pray when the kids and I went to their daddy's grave, but wasn't able to. We will add it to our nightly prayers for the next nine nights.
I hope you and your family are finding strength in God's great grace. Since Paul's death, I have learned that without doubt... God's grace is sufficient. I think of your family often... prayers continue!

Mary Ellen,
I think and pray for you and your family often. I visit Ryan's grave when I go to visit my grandmother's grave. A few weeks ago as I was driving out of the cemetary, a beautiful bird (the type of which I had never seen) flew past my car and was singing louder than I had ever heard a bird sing before. I couldn't help but think that Ryan is still singing as he always had in church on Sundays.
Love to you and your family,
Jennifer Illig (lector/former sacristan at OLPH)

Mary Ellen-
Bishop Libasci was visiting our Church this weekend. I spoke to him after Mass and complimented him on how many people told me how beautiful his homily was at Ryan's Mass. Priests need encouragement, right?.. they seem alway to get unfair criticism.
He told me that they have had 5 men, he fanned his hand open wide to show me the number, who have come forward to the priesthood since Ryan's passing and he believes Ryan's intercession was involved.
He also told me that he tell's Ryan's story "everywhere he goes..." and he has been meaning to write you.
God Bless, your family is wrapped in our prayers.
