Please pray for comfort for the Snow family as they mourn baby Matthew. Matthew went home to heaven after three long days in NICU. From his mother's arms to our Father's.

We've been praying for the newest Snow baby for months now. He's here and in need of a miracle. Go see this beautiful wonderous little boy and offer a prayer for him. 

 Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

Shakespeare Study

Just as I am writing up lessons for next year there is a lovely post on Serendipity about Shakespeare Fridays.

 

Elizabeth and Colleen have generously shared their plans for Shakespeare Friday. I have been doing the bard with the kids for a few years, mostly in the spring, and this is more structured less hodge-podge approach than the way I was going about it.

I was delighted at the generosity and thoughtfulness that went into sharing such lovely plans.

CatholicVote.Org

I have been asked to do some posting over at CatholicVote.org.  You may remember that Catholic Vote were responsible for producing the Obama ad that was rejected to run during the Superbowl. They do some great work in promoting a culture of life and educating about our beautiful Catholic faith. 

To be asked to be part of this is such an honor and blessing. I hope that you can take a moment and go over and read my post,   Obamacare, deadly for babies  there is already some heated discussion.

Global warming? Are you kidding me?

We are back from camp in Maine. Maine was cold. Very cold. Apparently they are not experiencing the effects of the this so called"global warming" They are decidedly chilly in the northeast and I have to say they aren't happy about it.

I wasn't either. The cold was bad enough, the incessant rain was a real party pooper.

There were moments however. Maine is an absolutely beautiful state and the people are wonderful.

   
All in all a fun time was had. white water rafting, kayaking, fishing and wading; friendly people, good food all contrived to  make up for the weather.
